Dear friends,
Now it is time to celebrate Christmas and to rejoice with family and friends. The year 2008 has been a special year in many aspects. We have seen the world economy slowing down, the financial crisis, the terror attacks in Mumbai but we have all seen the shift taking place in the industry with cloud computing and outsourcing in general picking up big time.
I have grown my company IDE (www.idenet.com) with more than 80% this year and I want to thank all customers and employees for making it possible. IDE are really on top of the wave of transformation in the industry. A key learning is that you should embrace change and it is better to try to stay on top when an industry is changing than to resist.
I have made many new friends 2008 in the Microsoft partner eco-system thanks to my travels to different countries and everywhere I have come I have been learnt new things.
I am very impressed about the great progress in India and Brazil - the level of professionalism in these countries is second to none and it is not all about exports as these both countries also have super big domestic markets. It is a bad thing to under estimate the importance of what is happening in these countries as it create great opportunities for business people like ourselves.
The IAMCP, International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners, is now under transformation and we are delivering on our new business plan which means that we will soon put the IAMCP under the stewardship of the wonderful association Management Company SmithBucklin. They will make it easier for the IAMCP to reach its full potential.
Merry Christmas to you all!
Warm regards, Per
